All Star (song)
"All Star" is a song by American rock band Smash Mouth. It was released on May 4, 1999 as the second single from their album ''Astro Lounge'', and is one of the group's most successful songs, peaking at No. 4 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Due to its success, the song served as the opening track of the 1999 compilation album ''Now That's What I Call Music! 3''
The music video (directed by McG) features cameos by William H. Macy, Ben Stiller, Hank Azaria, Paul Reubens, Kel Mitchell, Dane Cook, Doug Jones and Janeane Garofalo from the film 1999 ''Mystery Men'', which prominently featured the song. The song has made several other film appearances, in particular being used in the 2001 film ''Shrek'' and being performed by the band in the film ''Rat Race'', also in 2001.

"All Star" received generally positive reviews from music critics. The song reached No. 2 on the ''Billboard'' Modern Rock Tracks chart〔''Billboard'', (Charts for All Star ), retrieved Nov 6, 2009〕 and No. 4 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100.〔 In Canada, it peaked at No. 2 on the ''RPM'' singles chart〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Top Singles - Volume 69, No. 13, July 19, 1999 )〕 and was featured on the compilation album, ''Big Shiny Tunes 4''.
